1. What are the steps to creating my new website?
PLANNING/RESEARCH
- Send your completed design brief. This document guides the research, planning and creation of your new website.
- Send your images. You can also send document and video files to link from your website.
- We will provide you with an approximate start date for your website.
- Pay your deposit before your start date. Your deposit payment is required prior to any work commencing.
- Copywriter interview (max. 30mins). In person (Cairns area only) or by phone.
DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION
- Pay your design and construction fee. Your design and construction fee payment is required prior to work commencing.
- Your copywriting is created.
- Your website design is created only after we receive your completed design brief and all your images.
- We send website design templates for you to select from.
- We send you newly created copywriting for 1st revision.
- We create a working website using your selected design. You can log in and review your “Under Construction Website”.
- Tell us the final revisions you require for images and copywriting.
- We update your website with the revisions. You can then log in and view your final website.
PRESENTATION
- Pay your final payment. The final payment is the remainder of your account. Your payment is required prior to work commencing.
- Send us your web hosting account details. We will move your website to your web hosting service using these details.
- We submit your website to major search engines and directories (max. 10).
2. How long will it take to create my website?
It can take approximately 14 working days (minimum) to create a working website available for revision. The time it takes to create your website will depend on the amount of pages and content (writing and images). The time it takes to design your website and create your copywriting is not included.
3. What will I need to provide for the creation of my website?
You will need to send your completed design brief and any quality images you want to display on your website. You can also send document and video files to link from your website. To assist in the creation of your copywriting, you can send printed or electronic samples of wording by email or mail.
4. What are the copyright issues I should know about?
You do not have the right to use another person’s intellectual property for commercial purposes, but you may use such property for educational purposes with acknowledgment to the owner. Please see below for a more detailed explanation of copyright laws.
1. COPYRIGHT OWNERSHIP
The ownership of the website files belong to you once there are no outstanding monies due on your account. In the matter of ownership, files referenced by your website are not owned by you. (E.g. website links to other websites - you cannot own that other website.) Nor can you own external files hosted by other websites referenced in links within your applications or scripting source code. (E.g. your enquiry form references a mail script hosted by another website company - you do not own this mail script.)
2. COPYRIGHT RESPONSIBILITY
Boldhues Websites assumes clients have taken responsibility to obtain permission from the artist or author to use any copyright material, such as photographs, graphics, music, video and writing.
3. COPYRIGHT AUSTRALIA
Copyright protection is automatic under Australian Copyright Law. No © symbol is required. For artistic works, copyright lasts from the time the material is created until 50 years after the year of the creator’s death. Examples of artistic works: paintings, drawings, cartoons, sculpture, craftwork, photographs, maps and plans.

5. What is the payment structure for creating my new website?
Deposit: $150.00, required before any work commences.
Design & Construction Fee: $500.00, required before any work commences. A working website is created and ready for revision.
Final Payment: The remainder of your account. The website is moved to your specified domain name.
6. Are there any extra costs for my new website?
Email Consultations: Free during the creation of your new website.
Additional Revisions: $110.00 per hour.
Additional Scans: First x10 scans included. $2.00 per additional image scan.
Images (Copyright Licensing): $20.00 - $100.00+. Images are sourced from istockphotos and purchased upon your request.
Web Hosting: From $230.00 (12 months standard website hosting).
Domain Name Licensing: From $36.00 (1 year licence .com/.net/.org/.info/.biz).
7. What file format should I send my writing and images?
Writing and images (artwork, illustrations and photographs) for your website should be sent in electronic format. Options include:
- Send by email
- Send a disc by postal mail
Important information about images for your website:
- Provide the best quality images you can (medium to high resolution)
- Images can be optimized at no extra cost
- Hard copy images can be scanned, but there is no guarantee of the quality
- Up to 10 image scans are included at no extra cost if you send hard copies

8. How can I prepare for my copywriting interview?
Let us make your copywriting irresistible to your target market. With a little help from you, we can transform your ideas into professionally-produced website content.
Please provide any pre-existing writing (advertisements, brochures, articles or business history) that may help in the creation of your copywriting. Send through any writing ideas you have, even in note form, for specific web pages.
